Addiction medicine - ways out of the dead end through online counseling
Addiction is not a marginal phenomenon in society, but affects many people in Germany. According to an addiction study from 2015, 14.7 million people in Germany smoke, 1.8 million are addicted to alcohol and 2.3 million are addicted to medication. Around 600,000 people in Germany have a problematic use of illegal drugs, 500,000 people exhibit problematic or pathological gambling behavior and around 560,000 people are addicted to online gaming.
The term addiction refers not only to addiction disorders, but also to the entirety of risky, abusive and dependent behaviors in relation to (legal and illegal) addictive substances and behaviors. Addiction often goes hand in hand with dramatic personal fates and affects affected family members, friends and colleagues. Addictions are serious chronic illnesses that can lead to significant health impairments and premature death.

The aim of our online addiction medical care is to help those affected to stabilize their health and mental state and thus minimize health, social and financial damage. A stabilized health and social situation often makes it easier and possible to quit addiction. This is why we offer opiate addicts the option of substitution therapy in our online practice.
As part of our care concept, we work closely with psychosocial counseling centers.
Our overriding principle is to treat people like people.
